Project: 142 Lea Bridge Road

This scheme, owned jointly by a commercial developer and a housing association, comprises 132 1-4 bedroom apartments and maisonettes, and 943 sqm of office space. The site, bounded by the River Lea, is within a conservation area and contains a grade 2 listed building. 6 of the original buildings have been retained and refurbished, these are accompanied by a further 6 new buildings and an underground car park. The centrepiece of the development is the expanse of water which divides the site into 2 halves.
The new buildings have integrated solar water heating systems and green roofs; the development achieved a ‘very good’ Ecohomes rating.

Construction began in July 2007 with a date completion of September 2009.
